Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha was established on February 17, 1976 for the overall welfare of women. Later on, on May 4, 1991, in order to make the organization's program more fruitful and strengthening, the 9th Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha became a constitutional body. This is a government organization which is owned by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. 

Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha is working through 64 districts and 50 upazilas of the organization for the purpose of creating human resources development, self-employment, poverty reduction and employment generation, socio-economic development. Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha, Panchagarh district branch, is located at the Moqbular Rahman Government College morh, Tentulia Road, Panchagarh. At present, Monira Parvin Joint Sceretary of Panchagarh District  Awami League, is serving as Chairman of Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha Panchagarh district branch.
